New Beginnings

Well, today marks a "new beginning."  I am officially starting my summer break after having taught summer school!  I am also starting to "think" in fourth grade mode! I've taught for 15 years, 11 were in first grade, one year in second grade, one year in sixth grade, one year as the art teacher, and one year as a third/fourth grade bilingual split.  Although I've spanned the elementary grades, and have experienced one year with some fourth graders, that was over ten years ago!  This upcoming school year will be a new experience as one of the math and science fourth grade teachers!- I teach in the great state of Texas, so the standards have changed since last I saw fourth grade curriculum! I am super excited and look forward to the change.  I hope to share my experience with you.
