About Me

Hello!- I'm Vicky Burrows and I am so glad to meet you!

I am....
a Christian with strong faith in God,
a daughter to two amazing parents,
a sister to three siblings,
a wife to a loving husband,
a mother to a beautiful little boy!;
a friend to some really awesome people, and
a teacher to many wonderful children!!!

I love....
to read,
to draw,
to create,
to learn new things, and
to share!

I enjoy....
spending time with my family,
watching movies,
listening to music,
surfing the web,
drinking coffee, and
sleeping in!

I dislike....
negativity, and
confrontation!

The 2016-2017 school year will be my 18th year in the classroom.  I can't believe how fast time goes by!-I wanted to be a teacher since I was in kindergarten, and "Santa" brought me a little student desk with a built in chalkboard!  I would play school, like many of you, with all of the stuffed animals as my students; and I would look forward to buying chalk with my allowance on the weekends! Time has changed, but being a teacher is still a big part of who I want to be.  I am blessed to be a teacher!
I have taught 1st, 2nd, 3rd/4th bilingual split, 6th grade, K-4 Art, and most recently 4th grade ELA.  This year will bring many changes as a God led opportunity has brought me to a new school district!  I will be teaching in a wonderful community with amazing teacher support. I truly am blessed to have this opportunity.  I will be teaching Writing this year and hope to share my adventure and learn with you along the way!
